For the young guests there is a spacious playground with seesaw, climbing house and pull-up bars, set between stables, holiday house and the new manor house.

Away from all streets your children may romp around to their heart’s desire or splash around in the nearby Weißbach (White Creek) with its crystal-clear water. Climbing, frolicking, sliding, swinging, turn its rounds on horseback, caressing kittens, roaming across meadows and forests – there is never a dull moment on Gut Pfaffenlehen and kids are always welcomed warmly.

Additionally many signposted hiking trails through the unique mountain scenery start right from the house as well as easy-to-walk trails to Bischofswiesen, Berchtesgaden and Bad Reichenhall.

Due to its altitude there is a dry and pleasant sunny climate here while a blazing heat makes life hard elsewhere.

The altitude of Gut Pfaffenlehen most often guarantees sunny days while the lower regions are shrouded in fog.

Especially in autumn the Foehn wind brings warm and dry air from the South  to us, shifting the mountains to within touching distance: a gift from Italy allowing  for sunny days whilst the weather conditions in the rest of Germany are cold and wet. Due to these warm Alpine winds persisting over long periods the weather is often wonderfully sunny and pleasantly mild until the end of November or the beginning of December.

Autumn in the Berchtesgaden Alps is the ideal time for all those who like to hike, go for a walk, climb or mountainbike.

Visit Gut Pfaffenlehen in the winter and enjoy pure air, glittering powder snow and the mountain world covered with snow.

Take a hike in the magic winter landscape and afterwards relax in the nearby spas, such as the Rupertus Therme with its numerous saunas, sole grotto, swimming pool and restaurants.

Ski lifts of all levels for skiers, snowboarders and lugers as well as cross country trails are just 5 km away. The adjacent ski areas are Götschen (with floodlight and snowpark), Hochschwarzeck (with the natural toboggan run Hirscheckblitz) and Jenner.
